Side-by-Side Comparison
DeepScript vs Trint — pay-per-minute instead of $60 monthly seats
Trint is excellent for newsrooms and studios — DeepScript is cheaper, GDPR-compliant and seat-free.
Trint has been the newsroom and media-studio favourite since 2014: strong collaborative editor, glossaries, NLE integrations (Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve). The price — from $60/month per seat — is overkill for most use-cases: $60 buys ~300 hours of audio in DeepScript. If you don't transcribe daily or you're a budget-aware small team, pay-per-minute wins on the math almost every time. Plus: DeepScript hosts in Germany, not AWS US.

Frequently asked questions
From what volume does DeepScript beat Trint on cost?
Immediately. Trint Starter ($60/month) covers 7 hours of audio per month. The same 7 hours cost €1.26 in DeepScript Standard — about 1/50 the price. Even Trint Business (~$120) only covers 40 hours; in DeepScript that's €7.20. Pay-per-use stays cheaper until you exceed several hundred hours per month.
Does DeepScript have a collaborative editor like Trint?
No, we deliberately don't focus on that. DeepScript is a pipeline tool (upload → transcript → export or API), not an editorial workspace. If your workflow needs multi-user live editing, Trint stays the better choice. For typical use-cases — interviews, meetings, research, podcast transcripts — the solo editor with Office/SRT/VTT/DOCX export is enough.
How does NLE integration work?
We export SRT and VTT, which every editing app accepts (Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, Avid). What we don't have are native Premiere panels like Trint. If you want to make cuts live in the browser based on transcript markers, Trint is superior — for standard workflows (transcribe, export, manually place in NLE) DeepScript is enough.
Where is my data stored at DeepScript vs Trint?
DeepScript: own servers at Hetzner in Nuremberg, Germany. Your data never leaves the EU. Trint: AWS US-East (North Virginia). Trint offers SCCs for EU customers, but after Schrems II that's not robust protection for sensitive data (media sources, confidential interviews).
